What I love so much about stand up paddle boarding is its ability to transport one, surrounded by nature, to a quiet, meditative state. On a perfect full moon, windless evening in late September, I got to photograph the nighttime version of this. Waterproof LED lights are attached to the bottom of the boards, illuminating the water below which meant the paddlers could see fish passing by. I photographed this from a jetty at a harbor near my
house and was stunned by the beauty of it.
