A participant in the "Keiki Rodeo" (Children's Rodeo) competes in the calf roping competition at Parker Ranch arena in Waimea, HI. Many of the cowboy's children grow up roping and riding from a very young age. "Kamehana was one year and one month old when she first rode a horse around the barrels. I had to tie her down with a rope so she wouldn't fall off," says Wayne Tachera of his oldest daughter's early riding exposure.
