My Mother Myself

I captured this sweet moment between Kate Ellsworth and her daughter, Uma, when they were visiting one weekend. I remember how comforting my own mother's arms were when I was a child and so this moment really resonated with me. While mother/daughter relationships can be so complex and fraught, they also are perhaps the most primal of connections, the first relationship that defines us and one that remains primary to us through much of our lives.
