Kamehana Tachera (left) rides her horse on a windmill farm/grazing field in North Kohala, Hawaii while her sister, Nahe and a friend climb on one of the horse trailers after the girls helped the Ho'opai family with their annual branding. Small-time ranchers, Kimo and Lehua Ho'opai have an agreement that allows them to graze their cattle amongst the windmills in North Kohala. The sight of horses and cows amidst the modern windmills is striking, perhaps suggesting that modern technology and traditional ranching techniques can coeexist.
